Every Founding Member, at every level, receives the same recognition, the same permanent membership number, and the same place in the Founding Members Registry.
The First 500
Founding Membership is limited to the first 500 recurring supporters. Each Founding Member receives a permanent number, assigned sequentially beginning at FM-001 and recorded in the Founding Members Registry — the Foundation’s permanent historical record.
These are the people who chose to stand behind Calyx Foundation before SafeHarbor Village existed, before future projects were realized, and before the organization was established.
Numbers are permanent and are never reassigned.
How Founding Members Are Recognized
Founding Members are recognized for helping establish Calyx Foundation during its earliest stage. Recognition includes:
- Official Founding Member recognition
- A Founding Member certificate showing your name, number, and the date you joined
- Recognition as one of the first 500 supporters of Calyx Foundation
- A permanent entry in the Founding Members Registry
- Monthly Foundation updates
- Quarterly impact updates as available
- Early updates regarding Foundation progress and initiatives
- Invitations to future Foundation events and community opportunities when available
- Optional public recognition
Milestone recognition
Founding Members are recognized again at one, three, five, and ten years of continued support. Long-term commitment is the thing that makes an organization durable, and it deserves acknowledgment more than once.
Public recognition is always optional. Members may choose anonymous participation at any level and still receive their number, certificate, and updates.

Founding Members who choose public recognition are listed here as they join. The registry is maintained permanently, so that however far Calyx Foundation grows, the people who supported it first are never forgotten.

- Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
- Anonymous membership is available on request.

- Recognition benefits apply while active membership support continues.
- Historical Founding Member status is permanent and remains even if recurring support ends; active benefits and recognition pause until support resumes.
- Founding Membership is a recognition program and does not include voting rights, board positions, or authority over Foundation decisions.

Can I join anonymously?
Yes. Anonymous membership is available on request, and public recognition is always optional. Anonymous members receive the same Founding Member number, the same certificate, and the same Foundation updates — their name simply isn’t listed publicly.
Can I change or cancel my membership?
Yes, at any time. You may upgrade, change, or cancel your contribution level whenever you wish, and there is no minimum commitment period.
What is a Founding Member number?
Every Founding Member receives a permanent number, assigned sequentially beginning at FM-001 and recorded in the Founding Members Registry. Numbers are never reassigned, and your number appears on your Founding Member certificate.
What happens if I need to stop my monthly support?
Your Founding Member status is historical and permanent — it stays with you whether or not your support continues. If your monthly contribution stops, active recognition and benefits pause, and they resume if you choose to start again. Your number and your place in the registry remain yours.
Does membership give me a say in Foundation decisions?
No. The Founding Members Program is a recognition program. It does not include voting rights, board positions, or authority over Foundation decisions.
What does my membership actually pay for?
Founding Member support goes toward organizational development, community outreach, administrative and operating costs, program and infrastructure development, and preparation for future affordable housing initiatives such as SafeHarbor Village. As a newly established nonprofit, Calyx Foundation is building the operational foundation that all future work depends on.
