Founding Business Alliance

Building Stronger Communities Together

Businesses That Choose to Build From the Beginning

Strong communities are built through people and organizations willing to invest in their future.

The Calyx Foundation Founding Business Alliance recognizes businesses that choose to support the Foundation during its earliest chapter. Alliance Members are not simply contributors — they are organizations helping establish a nonprofit committed to addressing affordable housing challenges and strengthening communities throughout Washington State.

Membership is limited to the first 100 businesses.

Why the Alliance Was Created

Strong communities are built through collaboration between individuals, organizations, and businesses willing to invest in a shared future.

The Founding Business Alliance recognizes businesses that step forward while that groundwork is still being laid. Alliance Members help Calyx Foundation:

  • Build sustainable support for future initiatives
  • Strengthen community relationships
  • Develop the foundation necessary for long-term growth
  • Advance efforts focused on affordable housing solutions

Who the Alliance Is For

  • Recognize the importance of investing in long-term impact
  • Want to be part of building something meaningful from the beginning

The Alliance is built with Whatcom County businesses in mind, and welcomes regional organizations, corporations, and community organizations throughout Washington State.

How Alliance Members Are Recognized

Recognition exists to acknowledge commitment, not to create a transactional benefits program. Alliance Members may be recognized through:

  • A Founding Business Alliance certificate
  • A business window decal
  • Recognition on the Calyx Foundation website
  • Foundation newsletters and announcements
  • Social media recognition
  • Annual impact reports
  • Invitations to Foundation events when available

Recognition increases naturally with membership level, while every Alliance Member remains part of the same founding group. Public recognition is always optional — businesses may choose to remain anonymous at any level.
